In the TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) coated fabric industry, the aerospace sector imposes extremely stringent requirements for safety, reliability, and flame retardancy.

Essential International Certifications (The "License to Play")

◉ AS9100 Rev D (Quality Management System): The gold standard for the aerospace and defense industry. It builds upon ISO 9001 but includes much more stringent requirements for risk management, traceability, and product safety. The construction of Verelite Industrial Park will also continue to add the AS9100 Rev D certification on the basis of the existing ISO 9001 certification.

◉ FAR 25.853 & EASA CS-25 (Flammability Standards): These are the most critical safety regulations issued by the FAA (USA) and EASA (Europe). Aether-Tex’s TPU fabrics must pass vertical burn tests, smoke density, and toxicity requirements to ensure the safety of the cabin in case of fire, and provide passengers / crew with sufficient time for escape.

◉ TSO (Technical Standard Orders): Specific product-level certifications such as TSO-C13 (Life Preservers) or TSO-C69 (Emergency Evacuation Slides). Aether-Tex’s airtight fabrics must prove that the fabric's performance aligns with these final-assembly standards.

◉ ISO 13485 (Quality Management System to Medical Device): While primarily medical, but the requirements for many aerospace life-saving products (e.g., oxygen mask) overlap with those for medical-grade TPU coated fabrics.

Life Support & Safety System

Aether-Tex provides a full range of TPU coated fabrics for life support and safety systems in the aerospace sector, including escape slide fabrics, aviation life vest fabrics, aviation life raft fabrics, and aviation oxygen mask fabrics. These TPU fabrics feature wonderful air impermeability (the air leakage rate of inflatable structural fabrics is ≤0.01bar/24h), excellent welding strength, superior flame resistance, low smoke emission during combustion, and non-toxicity.

Aircraft Cabin Interiors

The cabin interior fabrics provided by Aether-Tex for the aerospace sector not only possess exceptional wear resistance and stain resistance but also meet the extremely stringent requirements of FAR 25.853 (Federal Aviation Regulations - Flame Retardant Test).

Flame Retardancy: Vertical burning meets FAA FAR 25.853 (a)/EASA CS 25.853 standard. Burning rate ≤150mm/min.

Low Smoke: Smoke density test meets FAA FAR 25.855.
Ds(max) ≤ 200: Maximum Specific Optical Density ≤ 200.
Ds(4) ≤ 100: Specific Optical Density at 4 minutes ≤ 100

Low VOC: The concentrations of all gases do not exceed the toxic limit values stipulated by FAA FAR 25.857. Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) ≤50μg/g (for cabin interior fabrics); free of formaldehyde, plasticizers and other harmful substances.

Aerial Vehicle

The TPU coated fabrics produced by Aether-Tex, featuring high strength-to-weight ratio, airtightness, resistance to high and low temperatures (-70℃ to 150℃), UV resistance and radiation resistance, can be used in aerial vehicles such as airships and detection balloons.
